Description
Take a walk along tree-lined Lambie Street, through 150 years of history. This is where Cooma began. The Lord Raglan Inn was built in 1854 by the Hain family, and is the oldest remaining building in Lambie Street.
In 1860 it became the first bank in Cooma, serving the gold miners seeking their fortunes at the Kiandra goldfields. Now this lovely building is a heritage site, and the garden contains trees aged over 100 years.
It is also home to the Raglan Gallery & Cultural Centre, which features the work of Snowy Mountains and Monaro artists – their
paintings, ceramics, prints, photographs, sculptures, jewellery, craft, poetry and books.
