Overview
1 Vale Street Cooma, New South Wales 2630Construction of the Cooma Gaol commenced in 1870 from local granite which was quarried from the hill where the Centre now stands.
The Gaol and Museum are attractive buildings and the museum houses and sells amazing hand crafts.

Description
The Museum is open Tuesday to Friday, 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm and Saturday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
The Museum has interesting exhibits, good quality hand crafted treasures for sale in its gift shop and information about the gaol.
The Cooma Gaol Museum is a living Museum, as it employs select inmates in a variety of areas such as tour guides, sales assistants, collection management and craft manufacturing.
